Equine Photography is a very specialised area in order to capture the kind of magnetic images we strive to provide our horse loving clients who come to Myownlbum Photography seeking that special unique shot that truly defines their relationship with their horse. One must have an insight into the horses mind along with an asthetic awareness of the physiology of these stunning creatures. When there is a strong connection between horses and their owners it is a very captivating sight to witness and a true delight to capture on film that magical connection that many horse lovers spend many years trying to achieve.

The stunning image of Georgia in the above photo clearly illustrates that a dream photo can be achieved under unusual circumstances, in this case Georgia was a complete stranger to Lance and very intimidated of his 16.2 height. However with careful guidance and gentle persuasion we managed to accomplish a shot that is genuinely indicative of a horse connecting with a human as you can see the horse is relaxed with his ears forward and eyes focused providing Oliver with the perfect moment to capture the shot on camera.

Advice to horse owners

Please note that this horse has been fortunate to have found complete trust in humans with many years of receiving excellent horsemanship with his owners, building this kind of trust can sometimes take many years. It is evident that sadly some horse owners never truly bond with their horses, however with patience and a keen understanding of the horses mind many horse owners can still achieve their dream of bonding with their horse.

For health and safety reasons Terms and conditions will apply during location equine shoots, for example a portable white or black background may be used, so the horse would need to be acclimated over a course of a week to the solid white or black colour.
